The secrecy is so that those who don't get the job can return to their respective schools and still operate an effective program. Think recruiting might be bit tougher if coach X is constantly named on "official" candidate lists? The confidentiality of it all is usually requested by both the prospective coach and their current employer (even though the current employer has granted them the permission to interview).

Bruce Weber was being looked at by us before he took the K-State job.
Blair Kerkhoff @BlairKerkhoff (KC Star, at Final Four)
Hearing Bruce Weber was in play for College of Charleston before Kansas State offer.

Ego, I have always wondered if it's possible to 499 a thread in this forum. Is 500 the official max before it automatically locks te the thread? Has this ever happened here? I definitely support this cause.

One of Clemson's assistants, Rick Ray just announced he was leaving. Look for Mark to be woo'd away from here to go with his coach from UNCW.

I still hope if Mark goes it will be to a HC gig, but assistant at Clemson would be a step up at least in pay and prestige all things considered. It will be interesting to see if DW will retain anyone from the "old" staff. If not I still believe that it would be a decent place for AJ to start as an assistant.

I don't know how likely it is that he lands at Clem, but do you think if that happened that Stitt would be more likely to go with him, what with the family connection via demontez and all? That would suck big time...

The mark sceanrio is very possible , as for Stitt, if he goes, we repaed what we sowed.... We have to be prepared for attrition........
