Interesting...
Last year they win both season games for the first time since the damn great depression and suddenly our board is flooded with citadel @ssholes. Where are you now shitadel fans? Its like the lack of GSU fans... silence is GOLDEN.
We'll whoop that @ss again when y'all come over to Kresse arena too.

Congrats on the win. I'm glad that you posted this and as a 2008 grad of The Citadel, it is good to know the rivalry is important to us younger alumni. I hate CofC basketball but I found myself pulling for you against UNC to the point where my girlfriend (CofC08) got excited and she could care less.
As for beating our a$$ at Kresse arena I am sure you would. But fortunatly it is at Carolina First Center, a place where The Citadel has never lost. See ya in February. GO DOGS!!!!!

To be completely correct it would be the John Kresse Court at the the Carolina First Arena. There is no athletic facility known as the Carolina First Center in the city of Charleston, SC. Here ya go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_First_ArenaI know of zero folks that I went to school with that call it the CFA. All call it the Kresse Arena still and rightfully so. Either way, I am actually kind of glad that you guys have decided to actually field a basketball team worth playing now. When I was a student whoopin' citadel's a$$ in basketball was simply expected. More of a right than a rivalry. As an alumnus, I still expect it. The only difference is that you folks actually try to give us a good game now. Davidson is still the primary basketball rival, but hatred of the powder blue pups won't ever die I'm sure.

Prior to the game on the citadel board those girls were predicting a beat down on the Cougs with the self coronation of the best team in the lowcountry since they beat Char Southern. Now you go over there and nothing, with the exception of one or two members complementing our athleticism and defense, it's rather humorous.
